Am I qualified and accredited?

Yes. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Psychology, Diploma of Counselling, Diploma of Management, and Graduate Certificate in Business (Management & Leadership). I am a member of the Australian Counselling Association.

I hold a current National Police Clearance, and current SA Working with Children and Working with Vulnerable Persons checks.

Do you need a referral from a GP to access services?

No; self-referrals and referrals from GPs or other health practitioners are welcome.

Telehealth services are available in all Australian states or territories. In-person sessions are available in Port Pirie.

How long is a standard session and how much does it cost?

A standard session is 50 minutes long and the full fee is $120. Fees are valid January 2024 – December 2024, and may be reviewed within that timeframe.

Is there a concession rate?

No, however if the fee is too much of a stretch at the moment, please contact me. We can chat about your situation and aim to find a short-term solution.

What are my hours?

Appointments are available Tuesday between 7.30am and 7.30pm, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday between 5pm and 8pm, and Saturday between 8am and 2pm.

Am I available for crisis phone calls outside of hours?

No, if you’re experiencing crisis, please contact emergency services on 000 immediately.

Do I work to a Code of Ethics?

Yes, I align my actions to the Australian Counselling Association Code of Ethics. You can read more here.

Are notes taken? How are they stored, and can you read them?

There may be times I take notes, to help us keep track of goals and progress. Notes are stored in a secure location in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles. You have the right to read your own notes, and I have a responsibility to provide them at your request.

How is information kept private?

Are sessions confidential?

Yes, a counselling or coaching session is a safe, private space. The information discussed stays between us.

However, I may share information outside our session if:
– I have concerns for your safety or the safety of someone else,
– A court of law requests it,
– You ask me to share information with a third party (e.g., a family member or GP).

Do I have professional indemnity insurance?

Absolutely.
